Advantages: The better tracks outweigh the average ones Disadvantages: Not many but some fillers
For what this cd is worth its good value for money, some little gems on this disc. Sometimes you buy soundtracks to find little known tracks that will never be released you can nod along to, Blue Streak has quite a few of these and i was well pleased with this purchase. Only seen the film once but rate the soundtrack higher
Girls Best Friend - Jay Z. A simple layed beat by Swizz Beats opens up the album with Jay Z hitting all the right notes, kind of. Single released with video, not his best but not a bad track
Criminal Mind - Tyrese & Heavy D. Good track, catchy chorus. A good up tempo follow up to the Jay Z track
Damn - So Plush & Ja Rule. Tune. Great track. Production by Darkchild hits the right spots, Ja Rule early raps leads you up the garden path and into a chorus filled with simple lyrics and sweet voices. Theres something ...
Advantages: Harmless slapstick fun for all the family Disadvantages: a little outdated and sometimes repetative
The other day I was rummaging though some old boxes in the garage and I came across several video cassettes, one of which contained a movie I had not seen for over twenty years. The movie in question was a one off from the, back then, brilliantly comical partnership of Cannon and Ball (they do window adverts these days).
Back then, in the turn of the eighties, I was a big fan of the very funny Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball, loving their tv shows in the late seventies through the eighties, enjoying the way the pair bounced off each other with the brilliant style of humour and fantastic banter.
After mentally reminiscing about the past, recalling the brief parts of this movie I could remember, I decided to watch the entire movie again, sitting back, waiting for the comedy to start.
The movie in question being ?the Boys inBlue ...
Advantages: A good mix of songs Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework
A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you, because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits, but I honestly think its marketed wrong, this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents ...

Album Notes
Includes liner notes by Joe Davis. This is part of Blue Note's The Blue Series. This disc is the perfect entry point for those unsure of where to begin exploring the rich and varied world of Brazilian music. Something of a musical crucible, Brazil's traditions draw on African, Indian, European, and indigenous sounds. The country has single-handedly generated several distinct genres, including Joven Guarda, Bossa Nova, and Samba. Some of the greatest Brazilian musicians of the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s-including Airto Moreira, Edu Lobo, Toninho Horta, Cesar Mariano, and Marcos Valle-are featured on BLUE NOTE. Aural pleasures abound, from the intense percussive acceleration of the Milton Bananan Trio's "Primitivo" to the delicious scatting of Joyce on "Aldeia de Ogum." The 17 tracks offer generous variety, providing an excellent overview of the exotic textures and timbres of Brazilian music and making BLUE BRAZIL a must for the uninitiated.
