I stumbled upon this brilliant album today whilst visiting my sister - trust it to be in a woman's collection!!

'Break Up Songs' - Who said record companies don't have any scruples when it comes to sales?!!!!

Imagine the scene: You've just broken up with your partner and you're at an all time low - c'mon we've all been there - so what's the first thing you do? Of course you stick on 'our' song!! Then you stick it on repeat and listen to it over and over and over and over - very loudly - until your flat mate/neighbour/family/police kick your door in and smash the CD player to pieces.

However never fear, for now you can buy yourself a bit of time and play a whole album of songs that will have you reaching for the razor blades before the end of the first CD!! :)

On the front cover there is a photo of a rather fetching young lass. Now she obviously has serious issues cos she is far too good looking to be ditched over something trivial!! Next to her is the title 'Break Up Songs' with a little broken heart inside the 'O' - It's the small touches that make the difference. Pure class.

On the rear there is nothing other than a list of all songs on both CDs. Those with 'Listphobia' look away now!

CD 1

1. Against All Odds - Collins, Phil
2. Leave Right Now - Young, Will
3. If You Leave Me Now - Chicago
4. What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted - Ruffin, Jimmy
5. It Must Have Been Love - Roxette
6. If I Could Turn Back Time - Cher
7. I Just Died In Your Arms - Cutting Crew
8. All By Myself - Carmen, Eric
9. How Do I Live - Rimes, LeAnn
10. I'm Not In Love - 10cc
11. Miss You Nights - Richard, Cliff
12. Touch Me In The Morning - Ross, Diana
13. Emotion - Sang, Samantha
14. Rhythm Of The Rain - Cascades
15. It's Over - Orbison, Roy
16. Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying - Gerry & The Pacemakers
17. It Doesn't Matter Anymore - Cassidy, Eva
18. Oh Girl - Chi-Lites
19. World Without Love - Peter & Gordon
20. Bye Bye Love - Everly Brothers

CD 2

1. Eternity - Williams, Robbie
2. I Can't Make You Love Me - Michael, George
3. Without You - Nilsson (1)
4. Nights In White Satin - Moody Blues
5. Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Tyler, Bonnie
6. Nothing Compares 2 U - O'Connor, Sinead
7. Thank You - Jamelia
8. How Can You Mend A Broken Heart - Green, Al
9. Anything For You - Estefan, Gloria
10. Missing You - Waite, John
11. Every Rose Has Its Thorn - Poison (1)
12. How You Remind Me - Nickelback
13. Ordinary World - Duran Duran
14. Kayleigh - Marillion
15. King Of Wishful Thinking - Go West
16. Hold On - Wilson Phillips
17. Red Red Wine - UB40
18. Everything I Own - Boy George

This is actually a great CD. It's full of songs that everyone will love. In fact it is probably one of the better compilation CDs in the shops at the moment. It's just unforyunate that it is aimed for a select market! LOL!!

However, if they were to stick to format there are a couple of changes that could've been made:

I would've thought that Robbie Williams 'Angels' would've got the tears and snot flowing better than 'Eternity'. Saying that, I'm pleased that they stuck to the original Phil Collins version of 'Against All Odds' instead of that dodgy version from the bloke off 'X-Factor'. I think anyone in a fragile state would've struggled to get past the first song in the album without sticking their head in the gas oven!!

I really cannot knock this album. Forget the title. This is a SUPERB find!

**There is only a track listing because the song lists need no explanation!! You'd have to have been living on Mars not to recognise them!!!**

There's very little on the music, other than the track listing and a bit about what mught have been better.
