Advantages: Brilliant range of tracks, superb vocal talents, widely available on the internet. Disadvantages: Some songs a little too similar sounding to other artists.
...Kelly Clarkson first shot to fame as the original American Idol back in September 2002 fuelled by the craze for England's own version of Pop Idol and X Factor. At just 20 years old it was a massive accomplishment to fight off every other wannabe in America to become the public's firstchoice. Breakaway is her second album having been released in 2004 in America and 2005 over here, her first one "Thankful" was released back in 2003 shortly after she first hit the charts. Kelly Clarkson's style is a mixture of quirky rock and more fundamental pop, her first album definitely steered towards the latter while her latest album sees her finding her feet more firmly within the rock field. However don't let that put you off listening to her as this album holds a real eclectic assortment, from ballads resembling the sultry sweet tones of Delta...

Advantages: Excellent sound, addictive melodies Disadvantages: A few tracks sound very similar
...Breakaway, the title track on this album is highly addictive. I can recommend this album to anyone who likes a bit of edgy rock/pop by a female artist. After winning the American version of Pop Idol, Kelly has gone from strength to strength and this album certainly proves she is a not a one-hit wonder. The songs she hasn't released as singles are equally as catchy with words that will blow your mind. I can't compare it to her first album as I didn't buy that one but out of 12 tracks on this album, I'd say 10 are well worth a listen. Breakaway, Addicted and Behind Those Hazel Eyes are three of the best tracks on this album. Definatley well worth a listen....

Advantages: Avarity of songs from slow ballads to up-beat rock and pop Disadvantages: none
...Kelly Clarkson came to people's ears as the young and very talented American Idol winner back in September 2002. Breakaway is her second album which was released over here in 2005. Kelly songs are a mixture of rock and pop.
Breakaway is the first track on the album and was also her first single to be taken from it. Breakaway is a soft and slow song with some strong lyrics, "Make a wish, Take a Chance, Make a Change and breakaway."i really enjoyed this song as it is peaceful.
The second song is "Since U Been Gone" which is an up-tempo song with some great lyrics.
Behind These Hazel Eyes is the third song and continues on the rock theme with some great backing music.
Because Of You is the forth track which i think has to be my favourite track on the album. This song is slower than most of the others and has some strong lyrics...

Advantages: All the songs on this album are great Disadvantages: None. there is nothing bad about this album
...Disaster (Live)
Most of the album tracks that you would probably know from the charts are, Gone, Walk Away and Where Is Your Heart,Since You've Been Gone, Breakaway, Because Of You and Behind These Hazel Eye.
The first track 'Breakaway' was written with Avril Lavigne, which shocked me as i'm not fond of her music much, but this has to be one of my faves as it is one of the songs that where sung with meaning.
I wasn't to keen on 'Addicted' as it was a bit slow, and not like some of the other songs on the album, which I find myself pressing the repeat button.
This CD is definitely worth listenig to especially if you enjoy listening to Avril Lavigne.
I don't think its like Evanscence as some think as I have seen them live and they are more as I discribe them soft goth rock (a little bit heavy) then rock-pop even if they might not seem that way...
