...If I could summarize Melissa Etheridge's "Breakdown" in just one sentence, it would
be the following:
"This record flipping SUCKS!"
Oh wow. First I sing the praises of Melissa Etheridge, then I say that one
of her most recent recordings just plain stinks? Am I on drugs? Nope!
"Breakdown" is as rotten as three-week-old tomatoes, ladies and gentlemen!
Melissa Etheridge had a great start. Her debut, and the two albums that
followed it, were nothing short of outstanding. Brilliant and original, she ensured that her raw emotions and truthful messages were captured to the fullest extent possible. She could play guitar like no other, with her very own blend of acoustic and electric styles that made for formidable and slightly-challenging entertainment for the listener. Her music was worth buying, and listening to several...

Advantages: Varied mix of old skool tracks Disadvantages: Tracks put together randomly not matching music styles
...I have had this CD since it was released, and it still plays a prominent part of my music collection.
The tracks are not put together as would have been expected from the clubs of the time but more of a catalog of songs from the \'Old Skool Era\' likely to bring back nostalgic feelings of \'euphoria\'. This could be seen as a bad point as alot of the tracks you may not be in the mood for listening to which can mean alot of track skipping.

Advantages: good riffs, thrash at amongst its best Disadvantages: recording quality bit lacking
...about. A good middle breakdown in the song changes to an even faster pace. Worth a listen. 7/10
3. Sixes and sevens
This has an eerie feeling to it in the intro, before some excellent technical guitar play comes in and leads the song into a mid – tempo thrash riff. The song then speeds up further with some great riffs and guitar play, Jeff waters really showing off his talent. Mid way through the song comes some more dual guitars and some all out thrash before a great solo. This song really picks up the poor start to the album and gives a much needed bite. 8/10
4. Stonewall
This has the feel of a megadeth or metallica song with some good palm muted riffs. Not a good song though with some weird sections in the song. Pretty much just a filler here, only good point is another great shred solo. 6/10
5. Never, Neverland
The album...
