Advantages: Inexpensive help from 44p a week Disadvantages: Being stranded
I often get asked, is breakdown cover worth having? My answer to that is very simply, yes, particularly if you do a lot of motorway driving. No matter who you are and where you live, a car will breakdown at the most inconvenient time and leave you totally stranded, even the most reliable cars breakdown.
As a young apprentice mechanic running old bangers I wish I'd had breakdown cover then as my old bangers were always breakingdown at the most awkward times & I had my fair share of them.
On my way to a first date all dressed up & the clutch cable broke! Another car & another broken clutch cable this time on the main street in town at 5pm on double yellow lines & in a bus lane! A puncture at 4am in the morning in pouring rain, coming home from an important date! Oh, the joys of motoring!
Breakingdown on a motorway is probably ...
Advantages: An amazing machine, expandable, some great features Disadvantages: Expensive (but for a reason), almost internet reliant, no browser security
tried to go completely wireless with this console and I must admit that having a wireless controller is a massive bonus, but the downside is they're so expensive at around £35 a shot. On the plus side, you don't have to pay for batteries as there is a USB cable that attaches to the controller and PS3 which charges the controller if it starts to run down. Also, if you'd rather stick with your old PS2 controllers, for £13 you can get a 4 port PS2 adaptor which plugs into the USB port and allows you to use PS2 controllers (it seems that these are 3rd party and not official Sony products so some shops don't know about them - we got ours at GameStation). The minus side to using the old PS2 controllers is when it comes to the SixAxis (6-axis) functionality. The PS3 controllers have a motion sensor called SixAxis (also a palndrome :) ), so as ...
Advantages: Full of entertaining shows... Disadvantages: ...full of repeats
Of course, it's the wonderful 'Dave'...the artist formerly known as UKTV G2. Not exactly the most exciting of sounding television channels, so they glamourised it...by called it 'Dave'...because everyone knows a Dave.
The concept of the channel is simply a station airing predominantly repeats of entertainment and comedy shows. It doesn't air 24-hours a day, instead it tends to broadcast until approximately 3am each night, and then restarts at 7am, with a bit of mind-boggling Teleshopping thrown in there for good measure.
But what does it show? Well during the day it plays repeats of entertainment shows such as Top Gear, Ray Mear's Extreme Survival, Trawlermen, Traffic Cops and Fifth Gear; all seemingly quite 'manly' shows aimed at blokes called 'Dave' presumably...
As the day's schedule moves on it tends to focus ...
