After listening to Lisa-Lee Darks new album release "Breath of Life," at www.cdvmusic.com/lisalee/
I was astounded by the range and tone of her voice, which is so Similar to her great, great, great auntie Adelina Pattie ( World Famous opera singer). Lisa-Lee is sure to follow in her aunties footsteps, as one of the best British sopranos of the 21st Century. I was amazed how poppy sounding this album is.
The Breath of Life album, features warm strings, heavenly choirs and ambient textures. 2 of the songs demonstrate a contemporary groove which cleverly support Lisas well crafted classical arrangements.
Fortunately the album is straight ahead classical and has a Lord of the rings dreamy filmic angle to a couple of the arrangements. Over all the sound is unintrusive and easy on the ear and would be ideal for dinner parties or as background music when reading a book. This sound is sure to leave a possitive vibe in any room.
Lisa certainly has fame in the family with her Great auntie, as none other than Bette Davis (Hollywood Legend) whilst her 4th cousin is Sir Anthony Hopkins. So judging by this remarkable voice, she is sure to receive an accolade for her exceptional work and of course her outstanding voice, which she effortlessly exhibits on this well produced album.
The 5 track E.P. Here I am Lord, which she is giving away with every album purchased exhibits an angelic voice, with soothing tones recorded on 5 well known christian songs.
Over all I am impressed by the value for money this album and free E.P. offers. I would reccommend the album "Breath of Life," as one of the best classical soprano albums of 2004.
The "Breath of Life" album alledgedly is scheduled as for export and is sure to raise international acclaim. I predict that once Pavaroti has heard Adelina Pattie's Great great great niece's voice she will be invited to take the golden elevator up to the top to perform with the very best in opera.
