This CD was on my Christmas Wish List, but not received by anyone. So I sent my other half on a mission, along with the shopping! He was off to Sainsbury's so I asked him to see how much it was, I said if it was less than £10 could he get it for me. When I got home, he was very pleased with himself. Sainsbury's were selling it for £9.97, but he's done even better! He'd looked on the internet and got it from CD Wow for £6.97, and had a 50p off voucher. He was so happy with himself that he said I could have it! No complaints from me there! He ordered it Friday evening and it arrived on Wednesday (all the way from Hong Kong).
The CD is great, I was a fan of him on the X Factor, but experience with Will Youngs first album, told me not to bother as it was the record companies choices, not the artists own style of recording. So I've hung on, waiting for a few singles I like before buying anything from him. Being a fan of Breathless the single, I was looking forward to playing that alone. I could listen to that thirty times in a row! But I was really pleased with the album as a whole. I reckon you need to listen to an album all the way through, at least two or three times before making a judgement. On my fifth or sixth time, there are still no songs that I skip or get bored of.
Its quite a slow and steady album, not too many dancy tracks, but his voice is suited perfectly to the songs and styles that were chosen. I'll give a track listing with a rough opinion of style and speed of music for you.
Track One - No U Hang Up This track, I believe has been released as a single. Catchy tune, not a slow track, not dancy either. Tells the story of the kind of love shared, in that You hang up, No you hang up way, lovely.
Track Two - Breathless Definately been released, adored it the minute I heard it. Describes how someone makes you feel. My particular favourite line from this ' I would fall deeper watching you give life' Aaaah.
Track Three - If That's OK With You Silly 'Akon' style voice interrupts the song quite frequently, however, once listened a few more times, its not so irritating. This song has more rythym than the previous two, with an almost caribbean feel to it.
Track Four - Damaged This song tells you how hurt and damaged you can feel when someone betrays you and how it takes time to heal. Sounds depressing but its still a nice song, nice beat, quite slow.
Track Five - Stand By Your Side The tune on this reminded me a bit of a George Michael song, but I can't remember which one! Its faster than some, but you wouldn't hear it in a club.
Track Six - Until You Good old slow track, Mr Ward sings a love story so well!
Track Seven - Some Tears Never Dry More dramatic, another great song.
Track Eight - Melt The Snow Probably my least favourite song on the album. Words are good, but its just a bit wishy washy for my liking.
Track Nine - Tangled Up Quite a dancy track this one, again with a George Michael sound, still not sure which one this reminds me of either. No problem as far as I'm concerned as I quite like George as well!
Track Ten - Just Be Good To Me A redo of the original, slightly more beaty, sings it well.
Track Eleven - U Got Me So Very Timberlake style this one. A funky beat in the background, suits his voice, this probably could be played in a club.
Track Twelve - You Make Me Wish Another less favourite of mine. Think it would depend on my mood really. Interesting words, just not keen on the tune.
Track Thirteen - Tell Him I quite like this one, although I'm not sure how to describe its style really. There's a classical piece of music in the background, and a funky beat on top.
All in all, I think its a great album, guys should buy it to help their wooing of the ladies. Girls should buy it to hear Shayne's beautiful tones. It should be played at dinner parties or on relaxing evenings. Also good in the car for singing along too!

Whilst I consider your disadvantage of the CD to be a major plus - I just can't stand the guy - it doesn't take anything away from this accomplished review. Nice one. Chris.
