Advantages: Beautiful Lyrics, Beautiful voice, really paints a picture with each song. Disadvantages: I truly found no negative aspects whilst listening to 'A Good Day'.
Priscilla Ahn, in her twenties, is an up and coming acoustic singer/songwriter from the same musical circle as Sara Bareilles, Brandi Carlile, Cary Brothers and Joshua Radin, to name a few. Many of whom she plays alongside during the Hotel Cafe Tours in the States. But Priscilla has created her own unique image while touring the US, Europe and Asia providing crowds with intimate, warm and memorable shows.

I found this darling little gem of blasphemy at a second hand shop near the shores of Blackpool, amongst stuff that nobody had bought and probably nobody ever would... Amongst the dusty books, cracked mugs, and bric-a-brac lay a simple black case of stiff carton with a little image printed on it which looked like a drawing but proved to be a black and white photograph, depicting in theatrical style an orgy or some other kind of mystical nude assembly. My interest aroused, I opened the box, and inside found two vinyl discs of about 10'' diameter enveloped in white paper; also encased were several sheets printed with red letters on a gray surface. The inscriptions seemed to be foreign, more distinctly: French. Between the lines I beheld strange photographs. On their themes I could only phantasize, lacking the literary context thereof ...

I had heard a lot about The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert so I was quite interested to see what it was all about. I wasn't sure if a film about three drag queens would be quite my cup of tea but I was quite happy to give it a go. Having just watched it on DVD I feel a bit ambiguous about how I felt about it but I will try and explain why.
The film was made quite a while ago back in 1994 and stars Terence Stamp (Bernadette), Hugo Weaving (Mitzi/ Tick) and Guy Pearce k(Felicia/ Adam). They are three drag queens who, each for different reasons, want to get out of Sydney, so they agree to join forces and travel to Alice Springs (which is a bit like the back of beyond) to perform a show. They travel in a clapped out old bus which they manage to do up in true drag queen style and name it Priscilla Queen of the Desert!
