I recently saw the film, The Bridget Jones' Diary at the cinema. The film was great and I totally loved the soundtrack so i thought I'd have a look for it in the shops and see how much it cost etc.
So I went down to my local Asda and ran to the CD section. My eyes scanned the shelves and eventually found the amazing soundtrack. It was quite easy to find because it was near the top of the chart and the cover is white with a big picture of Bridget. I instantly picked it up and started reading the songs that are on the CD.
In all there are a total of 19 songs, all very good of course! The first track is the gorgeous song, Out Of Reach by Gabrielle then followed is Aretha Franklin's Respect then comes my most favourite track on the CD.....It's Raining Men by the great Geri Halliwell. I think it's going to hit the number one slot this week, it's a brilliant song for the film and Geri sings it so well!
There are two very good songs by Robbie Williams called Have You Met Miss Jones? and there is Not On Earth, you can tell it's Robbie by his strong and distintive voice.
Another song that is yet to be released is Aaron Soul's Ring, Ring, Ring I like that song and didn't realize that song was in the film so that's a bonus to me.
There are a mixure of songs e.g: Jamie O'Neal's - All By Myself, Pretenders - Don't get me wrong, Chaka Khan - I'm every Women, Sheryl Crow - Kiss That Girl.
So as you can see there are hits from the past and songs that high in the charts today.
This wonderful soundtrack cost me £11.99 at Asda which is extremely good for a great CD with a total of 19 songs on. I am very pleased and I haven't taken it out of my CD player yet...I'm sure it will be in there for a long time!

I've yet to see the film though the soundtrack sounds good enough to buy on its own. There's some good songs on there. Thanks for that.

good op. My fave song is probably "Love" by Rosey - though who Rosey is I have no idea!! Don't remember hearing all the songs on the soundtrack in the film but it's great nonetheless. Claire

Advantages: Classic top tunes which bring the film to life. Plenty of songs to dance to or just lounge around to. Disadvantages: Geri Halliwell's version of 'It's Raining Men' which is terrible. A downside to an otherwise brilliant album. Where was one of my fave songs from the film 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'?
