prestigious Mercury Music prize for their debut album, Bring It On. Hailing from Liverpool, this five-piece band of gawky youths seem to be the very antithesis of traditional rock stars, but their appearance and heritage belie their rich and rootsy sound: their combination of Ben Ottewell's gravely voice and slide guitar conjure up images of the American South, especially on singles "Whippin' Piccadilly" and "Get Myself Arrested". Combining a soul sensitivity with a pop sensibility, Gomez constructed one of the most stunning debuts of the 1990's. --Carina Trimingham

Advantages: Cant stop playing it Disadvantages: Before you know it youve been playing for hours
I owned the original settlers game & couldn't stop playing it so when I found out they where releasing a anniversaryedition I couldn't wait for it to hit the shops.
This game always brings a smile to my face, it's a very simple game in comparison to what you can play these days but sometimes the simple game are more fun to play.
Basically you area nation of people who are trying to get back home, you do this by building up you empire and expanding your territory until you reach a magical gate which transports you to the next realm. Sounds easy yes, well it's a bit more complicated than that.
To expand you territory you need to build various workers so to start you will need a woodcutter to cut down trees to get you wood to build more houses, then you need a sawmill to make the logs into planks, you will also need a forester to ensure ...
Advantages: Classic material Disadvantages: Newer tunes aren't all that
This is, quite obviously, the 10thanniversary since the release of Nas' debut album, "Illmatic", widely-regarded as the greatest Hip Hop album of all time. In this special 'Platinum Edition' there is a second disc of remixes and never-before heard unreleased tracks.
Disc 1
1. Genesis (Intro)
2. ?NY State Of Mind?
This is a perfect example of a time when Nas is able to force the listener into his way of thinking, along with DJ Primo, an atmosphere is created, which can only be described as a New York State of Mind, making you see things in a different light. It is made most apparent when he says "I don't sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death.", and it des actually make you wonder if you should continue to do what you thought was normal, it suddenly has more depth to it. This is a hardcore rap track and especially in the first ...
Advantages: great characters, really true, easy to identify with Disadvantages: none
Troy: "The only thing you have to be by the age of 23 is yourself.
Lelaina: Yeah, well, I'm not sure who that is anymore. "
The journey of self-discovery after uni that occurs in "Reality Bites" may have been almost ten years before I embarked on my own quest into "real life" but it is still something I identify with totally. I liked this film, Ben Stiller's directorial debut, when I watched it initially, back when reality meant homework and 8.55 to 3.30 days in school - but it has gained far more importance to me now that I know exactly what the film is talking about.
THE STORY
"Reality Bites" is an intelligent and entertaining look at young people entering the real world and trying to make sense of it - the story centres around Lelaina Pierce ...
