My 3 year old daughter has recently joined the libarary club at school, every tuesday she brings a new book home for the week for us to read together, this week she brought home I want to be by Tony Ross. This is a lovely hard back book with a picture of a little girl standing on her crown measuring her self against the door post on the front cover. Inside this book there are 23 pages of story with lovely pictures on paper. The story goes that the little princess has decided it is time to grow up and decides the best way to go about it is to be different but cant decide what sort of different so decides to ask others what she should be, she asks her mom, dad, the cook, the general,the admiral, the prime minister and the doctor. What Do You Want To Be??

Advantages: A lovable character and a message in the story

This is another book in Tony Ross's popular series of books about the little princess. ~ The author / Tony Ross ~ Tony Ross went to Liverpool's School of Art and is a prolific writer and illustrator of children's picture books. Advantages: Another good Tony Ross book

Visiting the library yet again we found another book in the Little Princess series. This time it's a board book although it is available in both paperback and hardback too. ***Background*** Little Princess is a little girl who loves to say "I Want!" Although this sounds a little spoilt at first, it usually turns out that she has wanted something for the right reasons. Tony Ross has really come up smelling of roses with this series of books that he illustrates as well as writes, as they are popular with children everywhere. ***The Story*** This time the little princess has decided "The time has come to grow up," as she gets the ruler out.
