Review of (What's The Story) Morning Glory - Oasis by schmitt001

Advantages: British song writing at its best!
Disadvantages: 1 Weak Single

...This is the album that has spawned anthems that can be belted out by a bunch of boozy locals and still feel equally as satisfying echoing the walls the worlds most grand stadiums. The important thing to keep in mind is that while this is not definately maybe, this is a completley fresh album, and that while it doesnt quite hit the peaks of DM it remains arragant in a way Be Here Now took too much advantage of. For me, it is the perfect melting pot of Oasis, Noel Gallagher's song writing had hit the heavens. Although apart from the title track (referencing heavy drug use) the lyrics's are mental and self admitedly generally mean nolthing, each song leaves you wondering, and eventually you enjoy them so much you interperet your own meanings. From the starting line Hello delivers the goods although shamelessly robbing from the most un... Read review

This is about a video....Blinded...
Review of Grand Don't Come For Free, A [PA] - Streets (The) by naseire

Advantages: It's got some fantastic camera shots
Disadvantages: Are people ready for it as a video?

...Videos are not something that grip me. When Christina's 'Beautiful' came out and everyone was talking about it, I wasn't. When Madonna's various number's hit the screen, I only ever bothered to bat an eyelid for the sake of others and when that T.A.T.U. video was released, I can honestly say that even though it was an interesting topic, the video itself was of little interest as the most interesting thing for me was the squinty eyes the blonde girl had, I mean how the hell did she ever see anything? When I was treated to a video as intriguing as 'Blinded By The Lights' by The Streets frontman Mike Skinner however, my mind was changed. Instead of having girls dancing or a gay kiss, we got a wedding and the damage one man popping a few pills within the wedding can do. The jist of the story centres around him not having his girlfriend... Read review

review of Grand National
Review of Grand National - John Butler Trio by ciaomoneymaker

Advantages: great guitarist and excellent lyrics
Disadvantages: too much like a jamming session?

...john butler is one of the greatest guitarists i have ever heard! he is very famous in Australia, but not so much here in the United Kingdom. i first heard of him from a friend and i really love his music. the john butler trio isnt everyones cup of tea though! to some his music just sounds like a continuos jamming session. he has recently done a tour of the United Kingdom, and Grand National, is the latest cd to be relaesed by the John Butler Trio. in my opinion this is not his best cd, that would have to be Sunrise Over Sea, i personally would recommend that you bought that one first. Grand National sounds a bit like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, very full of energy.... Read review
