This is the 3rd Grandaddy album I have purchased and wow I got it for a mere £7:99. Indeed a bargain it is an all you can eat feast similar to what you may find in your local restaurants but there is much more nourishment to be found here. Oh yes I got the album from amazon.com if you want to buy it. However, it is not always available so just check back every so often and you will get there eventually.

The one thing which immediately ...
...the great instrumentals. No it was the duckling on the front cover and on the CD. What is a duckling a yellow duckling doing standing with a gentleman with a very pronounced side parting. Are Grandaddy trying to address the question we all ponder. Where is my duckling? I know I have wondered about it, haven't we all.

The one thing which immediately struck me about the album was not the great lyrics the great instrumentals. No it was the duckling on the front cover and on the CD. Anyway moving more towards the musical aspect of the album. This is as you might expect from the title a collection of songs from two albums, A Pretty Mess By This One Band and Machines Are Not She. The majority of songs are taken from A Pretty Mess By This One Band. So I would recommend you buy this rather than A Pretty Mess By This One Band. Many of the songs use samples for example Fentry is just one sample with Grandaddy playing instruments in the background. I also feel that this album uses a drumbeat much more than the others. Also Lytle screams or rather wails a lot more in this album. For me the best tune is Sikh In Baja VW Bug, which, in my opinion is an utterly infectious song you cannot help turning it up and feeling the bass pumping through your veins and the wailing voices running around your brain. Pure genius in a glass or is that Guinness, well either way.

This is a well-balanced album perfect for all you alternative music fans out there. With great guitars, brilliant lyrics and "phat" drums. You see I can even use dance terms for you to make it easier, just because everyone should listen to this album.
