Advantages: Excellent Movie Sountrack. Disadvantages: None!
memories of this movie and of the time it was released in the charts to me and I just love recalling it all. This track was released in 1985 and reached number 15 in the billboard charts. The music video to accompany this love song was taken from clips of the St Elmo's Fire movie also. This is an excellent track, that?s an all time favourite to me.
Overall Opinion Of St Elmo's Fire Soundtrack.
Well as you have probably gathered from reading this review, I really love this soundtrack a lot. I have had this original one for over twenty years. I first had it on cassette and then upgraded it to CD. It really looks a bit tatty on it, but that?s because it has been played a lot by me over the years, as I love it so much. This CD was one of the first movie soundtracks that really caught my attention because of the great meanings all the songs ...
Advantages: Blues music, what more can be said? Many great legends of blues and soul. Disadvantages: Not enough songs

THE SONGS
11 tracks are included on this album; all are from the original movie, although some are slightly edited so that they are suitable for a soundtrack album. This editing is barely noticeable though.
1 ? She Caught The Katy ? As always, this is a great intro to the album. It?s the first song you?ll hear on the film and is very much in the style of blues. A continuous guitar rhythm is followed by an equally continuous drum beat. Brass instruments, such as trumpets are occasionally heard but the real joy is the harmonica. Jake Blues (John Belushi) sings the, typically blues, lyrics well. ? 8/10
2 ? Peter Gunn Theme ? This instrumental follows a same beat as the previous track, as well as style. A continuous ...
Advantages: Brings back all the best bits of the film. Disadvantages: None that I know.
WOW! I love the film, and this soundtrack is absolutely amazing as well. Throughout the soundtrack I just want to get up and dance - and sometimes I do... LOL.
It's the whole standing in front of a mirror with the hairbrush CD. If you're a big fan of the film like me, then this is the perfect CD as you know all of the words off by heart without even realising it!
Everyone loves Patrick Swayze, and he sings track 3 (She's Like The Wind). It gives me goosebumps every time!
What makes this soundtrack even better is the price. For less than a fiver there's all the fun of the film! It'll get you dancing before you know it! Although you'll wish you were dancing with Patrick rather than on your own. LOL. ...

Album Notes
Much like the soundtrack to its female-buddy counterpart WAITING TO EXHALE, the more male-focused THE BROTHERS finds an impressive collection of artists representing the worlds of hip-hop and contemporary R&B. Neo-soul crooner Eric Benet sets the table with the up-tempo lament "Love Don't Love," while father and son Eddie and Gerald Levert provide a bridge between old- and new-school with the Quiet Storm duet "Two of a Kind." Duganz throws some big beats into the mix with "I Put it Down," and Snoop Dogg goes with his trademark casual flow on the slow-rolling "Hi 2 U." Silk sheet and champagne moments abound whether it's RL making like Maxwell on "Good Love," Lil' Johnny giving Carl Thomas a run for his money with "Wheel of Fortune," or Dave Hollister pledging his love to his lady on the gospel-influenced "Forever." Elsewhere, this mix gets spiced up by '70s icons Frankie Beverly and Maze, who make a welcome return with the harmony-laden funk of "Teach Each Other," and Toaster DL with the dub-flavored rap "Josephine."
