But what you don’t tend to hear so much of is the ensemble pieces which are fabulous. ---Recordings--- The sheer number of recordings of this opera is quite daunting and it’s difficult to know where to start. I’ve listened to at least 20 recordings of The Marriage of Figaro and I would highly recommend John Eliot Gardiner’s 1994 recording featuring Bryn Terfel as Figaro and Alison Hagley as Susanna. Gardiner is notorious for being difficult to work with and a bit of a slave driver, but while this makes things difficult for the performers, for the listeners it means a real treat! A terrific value car warranty policy.

Advantages: Polite, efficient and accessible

I was covered by Warranty Direct policies for three years. I made two claims during this time and found the company and employees to be efficient and always courteous. The process was relatively painless, and the last pay-out was for a blown BMW engine. Trainer BMW, my local franchised dealer did not want to know, apart from recommending a new engine at £7000! BMW Customer Services were equally evasive, despite the fact that the cause of the engine failure (Swirl flaps falling from manifold into the engine), is a common fault on 2003=2006 two litre diesel engines. Warranty Direct cooperated fully with me and an excellent independent BMW dealer - Bryn Motor Works Swansea, and the car was returned as good as new. Theatre music

I happen to go through a sale in a CD shop in London and came across this recording of Incidental music to two plays, written by Beethoven. The longer work is the incidental music to "The Consecration of the House". Most music lovers might know the overture but the complete incidental music is a sheer joy. The orchestra is Abbado's own, the Berlin Philharmonic and the soloists are Sylvia McNair and Bryn Terfel. There is a considerable amount of choral writing. The music is rich, joyous and, at times, full of grandeur. The recoding is suitably warm and rich whic matches the performances. The other item is a piece I did not know existed. It is music to Dunker's play "Leonora Prohaska". This is aslo a great find. This CD is an indispensable addition to all Beethoven lovers. ...
