...and colourful fluted pads playing in the background. Soft Slumber introduces a hypnotic heartbeat and triangle-like jingles. CD3, Harmony (55 minutes approx). Ocean of Life floods in with seedy beats, very Buddha Bar-esque, supporting a great deal of instrumentation, synth. pads, ambient drones, as well as a soft Persian ney backdrop. Touched by the Light goes back to the feather-light drones of In the House of Angels (CD1). Violet sounds like a mix between Latino rhythm, simplified Milonga Flamenco, and ancient outlandish folklore. It is beyond description. Overall Harmony kicks in with cheerful bells and plucked harp, and Chinese zither. Indigo sounds very much like a classical guitar piece by L.A.G.Q (Los Angeles Guitar Quartet), with breezy flute queues to accompany it. Very nice. Advantages: It gives new listeners insight into the Crunk genre
Disadvantages: For fans of the more hardcore side of this genre, it won't keep you tuned in

...When I was a newcomer to the Crunk music genre, I was desperately looking for artists of this genre and you know what? 9 times out of 10 the main names that came up are Lil Jon & The Eastside Boy's. For anyone that doesn't know what Crunk is, Crunk is a unique style of rap, coming up from the dirty south, similar to rock 'n' roll or punk rock but the guitars are replaced with heavy bass and the lyrics are versed with the intentions of, "get drunk or get f#@$ed up". Already a fan of their song, "What You Gon' Do" (which is from this album) it was going to be a real good day listening to an album by the originaters of this new genre. And with the inclusion of the bonus remix CD and the DVD containing some of their live performances and the video to their song named above, it wasn't really hard to say no.
