...Many people have been influenced by the scarface film and the rap genre has especially referenced to it man songs. This is now an official compilation of songs with money, power and respect themes. as you would imagine, all are rap. Put together in 2003, this def jam idea includes songs by Nas, Mobb Deep and Notorious BIG, some made especially for the album some old tracks that just fit. None appear in the film but there are samples and dialouge used from the picture. Tracks Its Mine - Mobb Deep & Nas. Scarface cues used as the sample in this one which was originally put t ogether in 99. A good relevant track to start the album Yeo - Cam'ron. Samples Rush Rush which is used in the film, rush rush get the yayo may be more familiar. best bit about the song is actually the sample with cam'rons raps not adding much but loads... Read review

Disadvantages: somehow mistitled, mostly traditional stuff

...used to be in Middle Europe before WW2, while after that, despite having its borders move several hundred miles to the west, it become part of Eastern Europe), but usually refers to the countries of the former Soviet block (and sometimes includes Greece). On this album, "Eastern Europe" is actually more of an alternative label for the Balkans. Most tracks come from artists from Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and countries of former Yugoslavia, although there is one track from a Russian band, and one from Polish mountains. I can understand this, as the Balkans are probably musically the most interesting and there is only very limited number of connoisseurs of GDR disco and other more obscure manifestations of Eastern European music. Advantages: Different moods to relate to; some relaxing; some upbeat and lift your spirits
Disadvantages: I only have it on tape

...Call me old fashioned but I only own this on tape. I absolutely adore it; I love American Indian music and chants. It's so therapeutic and relaxing but with fantastic beat and rhythm with a variety of instruments. My tape hasa simple picture of an American Indian on the front in black and white (as the one Caio has provided). I don't know the price but for a tape, you could probably find it for 5p online and then just pay P & P. Each 'side' of my tape is 25 mins long and composed of 5 songs each. There is American Indian chanting scattered about some of the songs but mainly it's music. Some are fast and some are slow. It is very hard to review this. The tempo is maintained by varying degrees of drum beats, flutes, panpipes and other instruments that I cannot identify. Each song seems to tell as story. The upbeat ones are... Read review
