...?MrBump? is number 6 in the very famous Mr Men series by Roger Hargreaves. It tells the story of the very accident prone MrBump, who can?t seem to do anything without either hurting himself or breaking something. It is impossible for him to hold down a job as he is such a liability. MrBump eventually decides to go on a holiday to get over all his little accidents and try to come up with an idea of a job he can do. You?ll have to read the book if you want to find out whether or not he succeeds!
The ?Mr Men? books are small [they measure 13.6 x 13 x 0.8 cm] and all have white covers with a picture of the main character from the story on them. MrBumps is blue and round and has bandages wrapped around his head and his tummy from all the bumps he has!

Advantages: Short simple amusing story. Disadvantages: None
...This book is one of the 79 classic Mr. Men and Little Miss collection that have stood the test of time.
It is an amusing story about a character called Mr. Bump who is always having accidents. At the beginning of the story Mr. Bump falls out of his bedroom window and bangs his head giving him amnesia.
He then meets Mr. Muddle who tells MrBump that his name is Mr. Careful and this leads to many amusing incidents that small children will enjoy including breaking eggs and spilling milk.
Mr. Bump eventually retrieves his memory of course at the end of the story.
The bold illustrations by Adam Hargreaves are simple but effective in accompanying the story giving a visual interpretation of what is going on along with the text.
My grandchildren love having this and other stories in this series read to them. We talk about the accidents Mr...

Advantages: Good story, nice bright pictures, easy to read Disadvantages: none from my house
...Well two weeks into starting school my middle son was excited as he got to bring his first reading book home but the following day he was more excited as he got another book bag which had a few reading books in for him to keep! Naturally when we got through the door we had to sit and read them together.
The cover of this book s red and has a picture of a big gorilla on the left hand side wearing a suit and the title on the right hand side in nice big bright multicoloured letters. The back cover of the book has a blue background and a picture of MrBig and a small monkey standing next to each other. There is also a few words about the story.
The story starts by introducing us to MrBig and telling us about how big he is and how everywhere he goes people always saw him as big and scary, as people found him scary they always ran away...
