But Seriously, (the best Album by Phil Collins in my opinion by far) released in November 1989 and reached number 1 in the album chart, both in the USA and the UK. Its styles include Pop/Rock, Soft Rock and Adult Contemporary. I have been a great fan of Phil Collins since the beginning of time…. well not exactly but I was about 11 and it feels like the beginning of time, to me anyway. Phil got me through my toughest years.

The album has 12 heart-rending songs of love; sadness and all round feel good tracks.

The tracks on the album are:

This album was the 4th solo album that Phil Collins recorded, and is very different to the up-tempo feeling of the good ole days of Genesis.

This album is great from beginning to end and if you put a lot of memories into songs like I do then this album will sure hold a few of yours like it has for me.

Unlike most of his earlier stuff Phil opted to do away with the drum machines and over-sounding keyboards in favour of live instrumentation, this decision been perfect for tracks such as “Find a way to my heart” and “Hang in long enough” which are very powerful tracks indeed.

This album is perfect for Phil Collins fans everywhere, but if you aren’t a Collins fan then listen anyway and you will be addicted to the rest of his stuff.
