This is Cannibal Corpse's second album, and possibly most contreversial. For example the album was banned in Germany until 2006 due to the gorey cover art that includes zombies, disemboweled mother and hundreds of hanging fetuses
The guitar and general sound of the album is less heavy than that of later albums, due to drop tuning of the guitars later in their career. Howver the vocals are more uncomprehensible on thsi album, giving the album a more brutal feel. This album has been suggested to be one of the greatest Cannibal Corpse have done to date.
My personal favourite track is 'Rancid Amputation' . This song features really heavy riffs and an impressive guitar solo. This song was covered in a parody by an australian comic team. (viewable on www.youtube.com)
