the White Isle's original home of red-eye chill-out vibes and weepy sunset soundtracks. The series of compilations bearing the bar's name, meanwhile, have long patented that authentic sound of Balearic bliss (even claiming Madonna as a huge fan) and this seventh volume maintains the high standards. Founding DJ Jose Padilla may have long moved on, but his successor, DJ Bruno, is clearly well aware of the old adage about fixing what ain't broke. There's the usual mix of names well-known (Moby, Bedrock, Nightmares On Wax) and head-scratchingly obscure (Uko, Lux, Aromabar), but the sound of beautiful music for loved-up and lazy beach-bums stays the same. Frankly, this sounds as good at home as it does on the early morning terraces of San Antonio.--Calvin Bush

Well i'm back reviewing the Cafe del mar series as promised, this time I am dealing with volume 3. This cd was put together during the summer of 1996, in Ibiza at the Cafe del mar, Which for any one that doesn't know, is a world famous cafe-cum-club known for its chill-out themes and generally having a nice time, relaxing and being relaxed. Its a haven for taking time out at, and many a clubber would have visited here during their stay in Ibiza.
... ...On almost all of the Cafe del mar cd's you will find one track from about 30 years ago, but it will fit in, and its age won't show, infact you will probably find it to be the best track on the cd and will want to find more music by the artists.
Volume 3 also boast's the best and most fragile cover of all, being made from a thin cardboard, fastend with two magnetic strips. It would be hard to find a mint copy from 1996, maybe they still make this ...
