Jose padilla has done it again, brought such diverse tracks together in harmony to make us lesser mortals feel good about everything. This sadly was to be Jose's last compilation in the cafe del mar series, as i have said before, this is where i stopped buying these cd's. For me no one else could put them together in the same fashion. I started reviewing this series with the first offering and have now jumped to the last, I hope to find the time to review the rest soon, but i have fishy presure at work at the moment (if you read my last review you'll understand!!)
So here we are, number six and the last stage of the journey Jose has taken us on. Through the six years these cd's have been produced my musical horizons have been ever deepend, and my mind and soul soothed by the heavenly sounds contained within. I will put the track listing further on in the review for those who would like to know.
This Volume contains 15 tracks, all compiled with love by Jose padilla, the lengdenary DJ from the Cafe del mar in Ibiza. Once again he has mixed tracks of different genres, some traditional guitar, others are electric, some have a soulfull feeling and, of all things, Dusty Springfield!! No one else would get away with this.
That last track, Dusty Springfield, The look of love, is the perfect track to finish this series on. It sums up, for me, the whole idea of this compilation, love who you are, love who other people are, and most of all, enjoy what you have while you have it. It has been five years since Jose stopped working on these cd's, he has gone on to release a few cd's of his own work, I have two of them and they are fantastic, although they dont contain such an array of styles.
I am not sure about the availability of this cd, but if you cant find it new, im sure it will be found secondhand somewhere like Ebay. If you like music, good music that enters your soul, then you buy at least a couple of cd's from the series. Number 6 would be a good choice, it has a little of everything that the Cafe del mar stands for, or used too anyway.
I completely agree, I love the Cafe Del Mar series especially this one.

This CD is much like the Cafe Del Mar Vol 5 CD. Both have similiar format and the songs are a mix of some fun house music and some easy listening chill out music. The more I listened to this CD the more I loved it. Most of the songs you can listen to over and over and over again and never get tired of the pleasure they bring you. So I completely agree with your review :)
