Advantages: A few scarface film samples Disadvantages: Nearly the whole thing
much going on here either, its just so repetitive that you have to try really hard to listen to the whole thing
G.O.D Pt 3 - Mobb Deep. A 96 release using the end 'the world is yours' end credits as a sample and again thats the best bit about the song. Average all round
Overall not great, im suprised the film company let def jam use the trademark in association with these poor songs. Leave this one on the shelf ...
Well i'm back reviewing the Cafe del mar series as promised, this time I am dealing with volume 3. This cd was put together during the summer of 1996, in Ibiza at the Cafe del mar, Which for any one that doesn't know, is a world famous cafe-cum-club known for its chill-out themes and generally having a nice time, relaxing and being relaxed. Its a haven for taking time out at, and many a clubber would have visited here during their stay in Ibiza.
As you have come to expect, there is a wide mix of music on these cd's, on this volume though, there is nothing wildly different, the tracks seem to flow into one another, Im not sure if this realy works, all the other compilations have something different on them that wakes you up and makes you sit up and listen, but here there is none of that, you realy could fall to sleep listening to it ...

As the cover notes go out of their way to explain, there are different sides to Ibiza, the not-so-chilled-out side, and the chilled-out side, which, although it's had less publicity, is definately worth paying attention to.
The album is a two-CD set, CD1 being the more laid back of the two. It starts with the mellow sounds of Kinobe's "Slip into something more comfortable", and manages to avoid anything that I'd heard of until Massive Attack's "Teardrop" with it's pounding bass. A fair way apart ...
