Advantages: A truly great CD Disadvantages: None whatsoever!
...One of my other musical passions is Cajun music. Cajun music is the music of the Cajun people of southern Louisiana. The history of the Cajun people is a tough one. Thrown out of their settlement of Arcadie in Canada (because, as French settlers they declined to swear allegiance to the British Crown) they eventually settled in southern Louisiana. They were a separate people, virtually a race apart, separated by the harsh environment and by their language, a sort of combination of French and some English.
Cajun music is largely played using the fiddle and or the accordion, with accompaniment provided by triangles or similar rhythm instruments. Though some guitar might also be used.
Cajun music is an exceptionally joyous music. It is almost as if they, as a people, are saying: "Well, our ancestors crossed an ocean, they got forced...

Advantages: Great acoustic music Disadvantages: some tracks are not how you know them
...I don't often listen to Radio 1, but this one time I did, they were playing only tracks recorded in the live lounge - And I Loved It. the songs were not remastered and you could hear the lyrics and music without all the extras that make some people buy their tracks.
The copies by artists of other artists songs are of superb quality, and some really make it their own. When I listen to them I just love the fact that they are live recordings with no additionals. Its great that artists are comfortable with singing live, acoustic, and other peoples songs.
By listening to the tracks you can tell which artists can sing and which artists definately need to remaster their tracks to sell their singles/albums. Or which need to lip synch for their live gigs.
I'll let you make up your own mind who you think these artists are out of artists...

Advantages: Unique example of early nineties Pop Disadvantages: Not enough of it!
...In 1993, the Pet Shop Boys (Neil Tennant, vocals and Chris Lowe, keyboards) introduced "very" which encapulated the boys at the highlight of their career. The Boys released their first album "please" in 1986, and this was followed by "actually" in 1987. The remix CDs "introspective" and "disco" were also released during the eighties. The Pet Shop boys, along with other groups such as Duran Duran, dominated British pop in the late eighties, yet their album "Behaviour" released in 1990 was not as succesful as they had hoped. They spent three years on their next album Very, and the time and effort paid off, the album was uniform of the camp style pop in the early nineties but the Pet Shop Boys had approached it in a way different to other artists, and their uniquity shone through. The album was called "very," simply because, according...
