This album has been a long time in coming, and I'd have to say that after the classic Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik this has to be the best Chilli Peppers album ever. They give you your moneys worth with a total of 15 tracks, not a weak link in site. From the soulful chart success "Scar tissue" and "Around the World" to the thoughtful "otherside" and witty title track "Californication", this is a must for all Chilli Peppers fans. This album is lyrically deeper than its predecessors, perhaps the band are showing their age...but there is no sign of that in "Right on Time" or " I like Dirt"...Anthony and Flea are at their best in their unique bassy fashion.....buy it!!
