1. Around the World- A loud, raw, aggressive, thoroughly enjoyable opening song.
2. Parallel Universe- Equally loud follow-up.
3. Scar Tissue- A melodic ballad with moody overtones. Quite simply, a perfect song!
4. Otherside- Among with Californication and Easily, the standout track on the album.
5. Get on Top- Bizarrely titled funk-rock track. Hated it the first time I heard it, but it grows on you.
6. Californication- Impossibly catchy but still vey intelligent and thoughtful.
7. Easily- Three word- Fantastic guitar solo!
8. Porcelain- A ballad, and not the best one at that. Slightly dull and definitely melodramatic.
9. Emitremmus- Definitely a filler. Should probably been put on a B-side rather than the album
10.I Like Dirt- A bit of an odd track. Its a bit stilted and 'thrown together' in parts.
11. This Velvet Glove- The lyrics are so senseless they actually make sense! Listen to this and you'll know what I mean!
12. Savior- Critics like to beat this one up thats for sure! all in all, not bad but not special
13. Purple Stain- Another filler. Not of the very impressive type.
14. Right on Time- The rapping on this seems a bit out of place with the rest of the album.
15 Road Trippin'- The perfect chillout song! Mellow, dreamy, and soft.

Im not quite so keen to give this the glowing review that most have. There are a few songs that should have been left off this album, Purple Stain, Emitremmus and Savior come to mind. In my view the Chilis were at their best a long way back and they are finding it difficult to return there. Im not saying the album is bad, its not even mediocre, as Otherside and Easily prove, the two best tracks of the album. Californication of course, is great too, but its been overplayed now! its also a bit overrated in my view. As is this album. One thing is true, though, the day the Chili Peppers grow up is the day we see elephants dancing to Beethoven. Mind you, that may not be a bad thing. Life changes. The Chili peppers dont!
