They sound more in jive as a group and they added intensity and sensuality on the songs in this album. Since Fusciante stepped in (replaced Navarro for the guitars), the sound and the feel changed along with the guitarist shift. Fruscian gave it a more "I'- about-to-burst feel" to the songs. Scar Tissue can be a good example of the style and feel shift of this album from the previous album "One Hot Minute". Makes you want to just sing along with the song.. I tried keeping up.. but i guess Anthony Kiedis was too good of a vocalist for me to handle.
Their performance in Woodstock 99 was a wreck!.. A lot of people just went crazy and got out of control. They say its because they played "Fire" as a tribute to Jimi Hendrix's song, and as a favor to Henrix's sister. Man that was crazy. I heard a lot got hurt. and some girls in the crowd were molested and raped. Shops around the place were broken into and destroyed.
The next day, The band were said to have started the commotion for playing Jimi Hendrix's song "Fire", but the crowd was has already started getting crazy even before their set.
