...I would like to make some comments to Lucifer regarding his review that I read the other day (ref. Lucifer-sun-of-the-morning, 12 February 2006).

With a name like ‘The Guitar Orchestra’, intelligence would tell anyone with an ounce of it that this is an album concentrating on the use of guitars, and with the exception of percussion, that is exactly what it achieves.
Nowhere do the credits say ‘Chris Baylis and the Guitar Orchestra’, nor is he calling himself an orchestra – the guitars are the orchestra (there’s a clue in the name if this is confusing). He merely plays the guitars that make up this orchestra. Furthermore, the album is dedicated to the memory of Leo Fender, NOT the Bamboo Man. If criticisms must be made, at least get the facts straight.

Advantages: Puts a smile on your face. Contains some of Sigur Ros' best songs. Thought-provoking Disadvantages: Non-english lyrics may put people off. Calm and mystical sound lacks direction occationally.
...which is my favorite. For the most part it is the 'one man and his piano' but the finale comes in, and your spine tingles. A orchestra and boys choir provide you with an amazing moment, which makes your think about all the good things, and sad things in your life. The end, even if loud, is never noisy. Rank: 1
To someone who already likes this band, Međ Suđ is a must have album, one which is refreshingly new, but still contains the reasons why they were liked to begin with. To a potential new fan, this appeals to those who like the calmer and reflecting side of music. It may appeal to people who like slower rock, or even classical music. For me, the best album of 2008 so far....

...each act is introduced by Douglas Fairbanks Junior introduces each act with a short anecdote. There is also a short glimpse of Gilbert’s house and estate at Grim’s Dyke near Harrow. There is also a “Life and Times Of Gilbert and Sullivan” storyboard on the DVD.

One of the most famous of all Savoyards, Sir Henry Lytton (1867 – 1936) made is first appearance in this opera. His wife, Louise Henri was in the chorus. It is said that as a young man he had taken a few days off school without permission to get married to her.
