Advantages: good quality, popular character Disadvantages: top comes off very easily
I bought the peppa pig campervan for my three year old son at christmas. He had been going on about it for months and by the time I got round to buying it they were out of stock in a lot of the shops so I started to panic as this was obviously one of the 'must have' toys this year. Luckily I got one in woolworths for £19.99!
On christmas morning he was over the moon when he opened it so that was worth the £19.99 for a start. When it came to opening it, it was not easy! As with many toys theres loads of cardboard, sellotape and plastic ties, it probably took about half an hour to get out of the packaging!
The set comprises of the campervan (the top comes off) with fully functional awning. This is operated with a dial at the side of the roof. The other bits are the figures: peppa, george, mummy pig and daddy pig, a little ...
Advantages: All items fit nicely into the boot of the camper van, good for storage. Disadvantages: Toy is difficult to get out of box
I bought this for my son's birthday as he is a big Peppa Pig fan.
I was a bit weary of buying it to be honest, as he has had the Peppa Pig house and playground sets before and not really played much with them.
The advantage of this toy is that it's got wheels and anything in this house with wheels gets played with!!
When I opened the box, the toughtest part of this toy is to get it out of the box. It is well packaged, but too well, to the extent that you can't get all the bits free easily. I still have a couple of them plastic tie things stuck to the campervan as I had to snip hard with scissors and I now can't free them!
The campervan's roof is very easily removable for ease to put all the characters in and out of the vehicle. The only thing is comes off too easily at times and my son gets a bit cross with it. There are ...
Advantages: great little stand alone toy Disadvantages: all those little bits!
Faced with a plethora of playmobil in John Lewis my five year old daughter chose to buy this Family Camper with her birthday money, having had the harsh reality broken to her that no, she couldn't quite afford the humungous hospital and where would we put it anyway?
The camper came in a quite satisyingly big box with lots of bits. From my measurements for an item which is about 33cm by 11cm there is a lot packed in and a great deal of play value. The van did require a bit of daddy-aided assembly, nothing too tricky - four wheels to assemble and put on and wing mirrors to fit and the van was good to go.
Like all the playmobil we have the camper is a nicely made and detailed toy. The manufacturer says that the toy is for 4 +, probably due to the tiny pieces of food and cutlery that come with it. That said, I am quite happy for my ...
