Can getting fit really be fun???

Advantages: Shows you how to do exercises correctly, balance games are fun, the balance board
Disadvantages: doesn't get that hard if you are really looking to build your fitness

a year as I am now an 18. Bugger. I will also be trying to eat healthier food so hopefully that will make a difference. No more afternoon choccy for me... bigger bugger. Right then on to the wii fit. As you will all know by now the wii fit comes with a balance board (big white plastic thing you stand on so it can tell you how fat you are :D ). This detects even the smallest movement you make while you are standing on it. Throughout the exercises it shows you your centre of gravity so you can check your balance and make sure you are doing it properly. It is also used as a step for doing the step aerobics on. First you need to select you Mii character and enter in some details about yourself like your height and date of birth. You then have to stand on the balance board to be weighed. It then shows you your BMI and weight against ...

A Reintroduction to Glen Campbell

Advantages: Classic songs sung beautifully, great instrumentalists and orchestra
Disadvantages: For me there really are none!

some quite stunning guitar playing by George Doering. When "Meet Glen Campbell" was released, the track most played to publicise it was Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" and within the framework of this album you can see why - it takes a rock song and turns it into something full of true melody, orchestration and crystal clear tenor vocal. This is a great taster to what this album has and I really like how the song has been given new life here. Campbell's guitar playing can be heard clearly and if you were unaware of Green Day's existence you would be hard pushed to know of its origins in rock music. The final track on the album is Campbell's interpretation of John Lennon's "Grow Old With Me" and while not one of my favourite songs I appreciate Campbell's interpretation of the song, and is a fitting end to this project ...

Review of Meet Glen Campbell - Glen Campbell

Can you really think yourself thin?

Advantages: Easy to read, includes a CD
Disadvantages: Nothing new - what we all already know

not always easy. Like 99.9% of UK residents I have a hectic lifestyle and holding down a full time job, renovating a property, seeing family and friends, writing and rating reviews and generally living does not always allow me to eat during the optimum time and I quite often find myself getting to the stage where I am so ravenous I could stuff myself stupid. There are times when all I want to do is shovel and horse my food down, a bit like the Simpsons so I found eating slowly difficult at times. The most difficult times were when I was ravenous and when I was eating something I really liked, since like many people all I wanted to do was get it inside me a quickly as possible. With a bit of thought and self-constraint eating slowly is possible and I find that food does actually taste better when I eat slowly. Stopping when full can ...
