Advantages: Extra bonus tracks Disadvantages: Quite expensive-like all CD albums!
I haven't personally bought this album but have listened to it so many times I can name every track on the CD! At the moment a special UK edition has been realeased with some brilliant new tracks written and sung by the fab PINK herself. The album is a contrast of R & B and pop and includes her 3 latest chart hits 'Most Girls', 'There you go' and her new track-'You make me sick' which is currently in the pepsi chart. All the tunes on the CD are really catchy and get stuck in your mind. The CD packaging is very classy and attractive, it is very bright which caught my eye. Overall I think the CD is brilliant, one of the best albums around at the moment.
The CD is the usual album price of around £12.99 but may I suggest that you can also buy the CD from most 'Sainsburys' stores in the UK at a lower price of £9.99!!!!! The CD is well ...
Advantages: well-produced, clever lyrics, catchy tunes, a really good voice Disadvantages: ballads, the fact she has now abandoned her r & b roots, no lyrics provided
-produced tunes with clever lyrics. Pink has co-written quite a few of the tracks and has been helped out on production and writing duties by Sh'kespear, Kandi and Babyface, as well as a variety of lesser known producers and writers. I feel Pink sounds better on the bitter full-of-attitude tracks like "There You Go" and "Hell Wit Ya" as she has quite a hard-edge to her voice at times and, when she is singing the ballads, the sweet voice which suddenly emerges just seems highly at odds with her image.
Following the release of the album "Can'tTakeMeHome", she emerged with "Missundaztood", an album which took an entirely different direction - and as far as I can see, she's been going downhill ever since. Okay so "Missundazstood" spawned her only number one single in the UK, "Just Like A Pill". I'm not disputing that the single releases from this ...
Advantages: Lots of big R&B tracks Disadvantages: A couple of tunes let it down
?Can?tTakeMeHome? came out as the debut album from the Pennsylvania-born R&B, Rock and Pop singer Pink. This one came out in 2000 and was her breakthrough release as she performed in a style which appeared to fit in more with the Soul influences which she was raised on (which later went more towards the Rock and Pop world) as she got backing from the R&B singer and producer Babyface.
1. ?Split Personality?
Getting the album going, you have a track which has here performing in a manner which really appears to fit in the style of 1998-2000 R&B, and it draws especially close resemblance to what Kelis was doing around this time and so it was really current in what it does for a decent opening cut as a tune to introduce what this has to offer from her.
**Three Stars**
2. ?Hell Wit Ya?
