No, this isn't an advert for the Pink Panther, but the hottest new r&b sensation, Pink. Being only 19, her voice is absolutely amazing. She has her own style, which is strong, unlike Christina or Britney, who have more 'poppy' voices. Pink's album, 'Can't take me home' shows all of her talents, in only 13 songs. Most people are familiar with her first releases, 'There U Go' and 'Most Girls', which are followed by her successful 'You Make Me Sick'. OK, so the title isn't very attractive, but the song is great!
If you listen very carefully to her lyrics, Pink covers the everyday issues, for example, sex. It's not talking about it directly, but there is a hidden message in each of her songs. She is also known for talking about men, and how they ruin lives if you let them. 'There You Go' is the best example for this. There are many up-and-coming hits, like 'Hiccup', 'Private Show' and 'Stop Falling', with a range of tempos, from the fast 'Hiccup', to the slower 'Stop Falling'. After 5 months of having the album, I still listen to it regularly, so it has a top shelf life, unlike all the other CDs I have, which get put to the back of my collection after only a few weeks. For her first album, this is absolutely amazing - I just hope there are many more to follow this standard!
Compared to other r&b artists, Pink is a lot younger, so she still has a lot to put into her music, but so far, so good! The cover, etc. are quite good, but the only thing it's missing is lyrics, so we can all sing along at home!
I definitely recommend this album to anyone that's not really into pop music, but more r&b orientated, although the lyrics are suitable for all ages. The sound is amazing, with a great set of tunes and lyrics. Many people may not take Pink seriously because of her bright pink hair, but if you listen to her, you'll realise how extremely talented she actually is. At least she's not another teeny bopper, bleach-blonde bimbo.. mentioning no names :) Cant Take Me Home is avaliable at all retail stores, 100% recommended by me, so all you guys have to do now is buy it!
