Advantages: Best British soul diva. Ever Disadvantages: None
...Ruby Turner, Brummie soul diva. What? One of the best British soul singers of the past 30 years is a Brummie? Well, yes… SORT of. In truth, Ruby was born in Jamaica, but grew up in Birmingham from the age of nine.
The Very Best of Ruby Turner is exactly that, the very best of one of the finest soul singers of her generation. She's also very pretty, but hey, let's try to keep my natural male bias for very beautiful women out of this review!
Whether Ruby is singing new soul songs, or delivering some of the great soul standard classics, her pure, soaring voice really is a cut above the rest. Ruby's ability to hold and deliver a tune is so impressive that she is able to attract soul stars such as Jimmy Ruffin, The Temptations and Jonathon Butler to perform with her as some very special guests. Advantages: Easy to listen to, thought provoking lyrics Disadvantages: Some may find that certain songs sound similar
...Get Cape. Wear Cape Fly. is the alias of 20 year old Southend boy, Sam Duckworth. It may sound videogame-like and geeky (his name was actually taken from a sub-heading in a videogame magazine, and is a reference to the Super Mario series of games), but his music, descibed by many as 'folk-tronica' is, in my opinion, amazing. Released in September 2006, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.'s debut album, ''The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager'' made it to #26 in the UK charts. The album, recorded mostly in his bedroom, is a blend of folk, acoustic, and videogame inspired sounds, played under thought provoking lyrics about life, eduacation, work and issues in the world today, including poverty and the problems that corperate buisnesses cause. He sing...

Advantages: Fits with the tone and style of the film Disadvantages: None
...The Garden State soundtrack is without a doubt one of the best soundtracks I've ever had the joy of listening to. It's the kind of soundtrack that even if you have not seen the film you will, in some way be able to relate to the songs that are on it. But with having seen the film, the songs will remind you of that particular scene in the film and you will feel personally connected with it.
Not every soundtrack achieves this and Zach Braff does a fantastic job at choosing the right songs for the right scenes. Each song fits perfectly with the tone, style, emotions, look & feel of the particular scene it is playing in.
The opening song "Don't Panic" by Coldplay ticks every box for being a fantastic opening song to start the film. It works in setting that low tempo, light and gentle start that you get with the movie. It really fits...
