. Add a few scratches and a rap and you have this Gotta Hold Over Me - Coko. Poor song. In my opinion Coko isnt the most gifted singer and you can tell on this track. Not one of Phils greatest and not one of Coko's either I Dont Care Anymore - Kelis. Produced by the Neptunes, this is a harsh track with an 'I Hate You So Much Right Now' shouty feel to it. You would either love or hate this Cant Turn Back The Years - Joe. Not to disimilar to the original and it works. The best track on the album, Joes voices gives this tune so much credit. It really does work. Quality Do You Remember - Debelah Morgan. Poor again, she has a good voice and it comes through but the production is not great and its a big let down Against All Odds - Montell Jordan. This is worse than the Westlife version. Its just not very good One More NIght ...

Real gold legends!

Advantages: Great mix of songs and artists.
Disadvantages: Not always the best of the bands hits.

As a child born in the 80's I have come to adore the music of the time, I'm always on the lookout for a good compilation CD and happened to spot this one during a shopping trip in Asda. Flipping the CD over to look at the track listing my eyes were drawn to one track and I didn't need to read the rest to know I had to have the CD. Capital Gold Eighties Legends contains songs by just that, 80's legends. There is a wide variety of artists providing a wide range of styles from pop to rock, Motown style and funk. It is a 2 disc CD providing 40 great 80's tunes. Because it is an 80's compilation, and most of us would have either heard the songs or heard of them, I wont go into a track by track description, that would spoil the fun of going out to buy the album and getting the know the songs yourself. Advantages: A few scarface film samples
Disadvantages: Nearly the whole thing

Many people have been influenced by the scarface film and the rap genre has especially referenced to it man songs. This is now an official compilation of songs with money, power and respect themes. as you would imagine, all are rap. Put together in 2003, this def jam idea includes songs by Nas, Mobb Deep and Notorious BIG, some made especially for the album some old tracks that just fit. None appear in the film but there are samples and dialouge used from the picture. Tracks Its Mine - Mobb Deep & Nas. Scarface cues used as the sample in this one which was originally put t ogether in 99. A good relevant track to start the album Yeo - Cam'ron.
