As a child born in the 80's I have come to adore the music of the time, I'm always on the lookout for a good compilation CD and happened to spot this one during a shopping trip in Asda. Flipping the CD over to look at the track listing my eyes were drawn to one track and I didn't need to read the rest to know I had to have the CD.
CapitalGold Eighties Legends contains songs by just that, 80's legends. There is a wide variety of artists providing a wide range of styles from pop to rock, Motown style and funk. It is a 2 disc CD providing 40 great 80's tunes.
Because it is an 80's compilation, and most of us would have either heard the songs or heard of them, I wont go into a track by track description, that would spoil the fun of going out to buy the album and getting the know the songs yourself.

An album of remixed Phil Collins tracks performed by r&b and hip hop artists. Risky, seeing as the man himself as churned out classic after classic and as you can imagine it wasnt well received by, well anyone.
I did however purchase because i like Phil Collins and i like hip hop & r&b so i took a chance. I should have spent my money on buying that indoor ten pin bowling set instead. Saying that there is a couple of decent tunes on here but as a whole, not the greatest ive spent my money on

Another Day In Paradise - Ray J & Brandy. The single to come off this album was received quite well, not a bad video and the brother sister duet that everyone wanted to hear. An up to date version but not better than the original. You may find me saying that more often than not
Sussudio - Ol Dirty Bastard. Shocking. No resemblence ...
Advantages: Every Track's a Classic! Disadvantages: None as such!
definitive artists. His work progresed from the formulaic sounds of Motown on tracks like Stubborn Kind Of Fellow to the masterpiece of I Heard It Through The Grapevine to the profound political statements expressed on the timeless Whats Going On that is deservedly included on here.
There is oddly only 1 offering from Diana Ross' solo career with the absolutley magnificent, golden Soulclassic, Ain't No Mountin High Enough. Ashford and Simpson always knew how to make good records for Diana Ross and that tracks is one of the many landmarks in her career. You just get goose bumps as that exalting and rip-roaring climax builds and Diana effectivley talks through the verses, emphasising her truly sensual vocal style.
This box set hosts so many classics thats its impossible to chronicle them all but there are some surprisingly rare features ...
