When I came home from work one day Mrs B excitedly told me that she had enrolled baby B on a Jo Jingles course. I thought at 3 months old our baby was slightly young for doing a course but she insisted that not only would it help Baby B's development it would also be fun and entertaining for the pair of them too. Ever since the course Mrs B has been really impressed with it and one day she was unfortunate enough to be laid up in bed with a migraine and so I took it upon myself to ensure that Baby B still was able to attend her class. I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Advantages: fun, engaging, ineractive Disadvantages: not long enough!!
Over the past few years there have been a sudden growth in the amount of fun classes you can take part in with your children as the government have tried to encourage new mums to bond with their children in this way. I have done baby massage and rhythm time and enjoyed them both and now I have started Jo Jingles too and both me and my baby love it!
Jo Jingles involves music and movement and is all about having fun and learning some basics too. Classes vary depending upon the age group involved as the ages it targets are from 3months to 5 years so obviously huge differences developmentally depending upon the age of your child/children.
The aim of Jo JIngles is to have fun and to stimulate children. It tries to have an educational front too such as songs which involve counting and clapping. It also provides the mother with some fun ...

Advantages: It's free and it's pretty interesting as big state buildings go Disadvantages: You can't ensure you don't get any boring nutters in your tour group
Last May my husband and I took a two week trip to Colorado to visit a friend who lives on the outskirts of Denver. The trip was to use up my remaining leave from the company I worked for before I started working for a new company. As a result of being a bit overwhelmed in the new role, I didn't get round to writing much at all about the things we saw on that trip.
To be fair, we'd got through most of the holiday without seeing anything much of Denver so on the day before we were due to leave we thought we'd better put in a pretty intense day of city tourism to avoid the complaints of "You went to Denver and you didn't even see the......." when we got back. With great advice from our host, we set off to see the Colorado State Capitol as our first stop of the day.

Album Notes
While Jo Stafford's early-to-mid-1950s hits for Columbia cemented her status as one of the era's premier pop vocalists, her '40s work on Capitol is some of her most seminal. This collection of lesser-known Stafford recordings from her Capitol period fills out a portrait of a singer who could move seamlessly from light-hearted fare to intensely emotional material, offering a whole new perspective to those who know her only by her hits.
