Advantages: Wonderful English gothic architecture Disadvantages: Getting there
I was surprised to be writing the first review of King's College Chapel. I thought it was just me not getting out enough, but now it seems you lot haven't visited it either. Do go. Don't put it off or just look at the pictures. It really is a jewel of English gothic architecture.
Middle England and the wider world know King's from the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols broadcast live on Christmas Eve. I usually have it on in the background while I'm contemplating turkey giblets and counting brussel sprouts. There is enough tradition, statistics and myths from this programme alone to make a review. Peterhouse
Peterhouse is the oldest college in Cambridge and very traditional, being one of the last colleges to go mixed.I am told the admission of women was met with much reluctance ! Historically it was the college for Etonions and among its famous former students are Lord Keynes, E.M. Forster, Salman Rushdie, Rupert Brooke, Robert Walpole, and nobel prize winners Philip Noel-Baker (peace), and Patrick White (literature).

Advantages: central with good quality communal facilities Disadvantages: expensive for the quality of bedrooms
As many Ciao regulars know I have just got married and this is my first, and possibly most boring (!), review since then. It was always my dream, from a young child (1) to get married and (2) to go to university at Cambridge. I am now proud to say that I have managed both! What is even better is that as a result of studying in Cambridge I was able to get married there. Although I got married in Sidney Sussex, my old college, commerciality being what it is I was unable to hold my wedding reception there as the "might get a conference booking for that weekend" (clearly more lucrative than a wedding reception)! Still, I was determined to get married in college and so set about finding a suitable reception venue.
