Advantages: Great Johnny & June CD, Some Great Country Favourites Disadvantages: Some tracks to short, some too slushy!
...One of my long time favourite singers, JohnnyCash has been enjoying something of a revival of late, although the man in black passed on in 2003, the film, 'Walk The Line' and recent releases of 'American V' & perviously 'The Man Comes Around', JohnnyCash seems to be appealling not only to Country & Western fans but to young and old alike, you can't help but love those baritone vocals I feel!.
As I mentioned, I have been a JohnnyCash fan since my Grandmother started babysitting me whilst listening to old vinyl of JohnnyCash & JuneCarter, several I have recently inherited following her death in March. Sadly, these are not in the best of condition as one ould expect with them being over 30 years old, so when I saw this 'Duets- JohnnyCash & JuneCarterCash' on sale in Virgin Megastore today for £5.99, I had to buy it....

Advantages: He is Johnny Cash Disadvantages: I am not Johnny Cash
...? is a tender ballad which he dedicates for the most part to his wife (the woman that tamed him) JuneCarter. ?Rusty Cage? is a song about almost everything that Johnny liked singing songs about, and is dirty as hell, written by Tom Petty and this is probably the one song that sounds most like Tom Petty and The Heart Breakers.
?The One Rose (That is Left in My Heart)? is obviously one of Johnny?s favourite songs you can tell just by the way he writes about it in the sleeve notes, and that voice of God thing starts creeping in again. ?Country Boy? is about just that being a Country Boy, the joy of standing barefoot on a steam locomotive, the joy of being poor but having a richness of the soul cause who needs money when you got that?? (6) and is proof that Johnny did not always write about depressing things. The JohnnyCash Treatment...
