Well how can I say this... I saw the first Punisher movie with Dolph Ludgren back in the 1980's, the next just a few years ago.... not a bad movie but lacked the Punisher's coldness, then came this movie! Wow, anyone who knows the character of the Punisher or has read the graphic novels will know that the Punisher is mean... real mean, but only to the bad guys! The reason this movie got a hard time at the box office is because people failed to see that it's a 'comic book movie', all the action is 'over the top', the gore and violence is extreme, the characters are big and hammy, but thats the charm. If you want a seruious action flick then go and see the Bourne movies, if you want some fun and OTT action then this is for you. Look out for the DVD which will be out in June packed with special features ...

Advantages: Thomas Jane is a good Punisher Disadvantages: John Travolta is cack, cack, cacketty cack
Frank Castle is on top of the world. Highly respected at work (he is one of the force's most decorated undercover officers) and adored at home by his wife and son, he decides to retire from the force and enjoy a quieter life with the family. But in his professional life, Castle made enemies. Lots of them. And now one of those enemies decides to avenge the loss of his own son by exacting a terrible act of retribution upon Castle, killing his entire extended family, his wife and his only son before putting a bullet in Castle's head. Castle, however, is not dead. Whilst his heart may be broken and his soul crushed, his body manages to recover. And so The Punisher is born - and the underworld had better watch out.
