Catch-Flame (Live At The Alexandra Palace/Limited Edition) - Paul Weller

Advantages: Fully comprehensive - Jam/Style Council included; great music; well packaged; available for bargain prices
Disadvantages: does not include the original version of 'that's entertainment.' A real shame!

...on a beach, kicked around displaced by feet..." Simple, but made by the excellent vocals. The other one is "above the clouds," which in a way has an almost Fleetwood Mac 'albatross' vibe mixed with soulful guitar licks and bluesy vocals - it is perfect for relaxing and in many ways represents what Paul sings : "summer always goes so quick." Overall, I give disc 3 10/10. Disc 4 - the shortest of the three discs. To many, this will be a catch-up disc and I indeed have not yet had a chance to listen to all of Paul's recent material. The disc includes the singles from the 'heliocentric,' 'illumination,' 'studio 150' and 'as is now albums.' ...My friend introduced Paul Wellers music to me about six or seven years ago and i have to admit i love this guy i think he is brilliant, tonight i am going to introduce you to an insight into his new album 'FLY ON THE WALL' Released ~ Monday 1st September 2003 Label ~ Universal Cost ~ £14.99 GBP You can say what you like about Paul Weller but you have to admit the man gives good B-Side. Both The Jam and The Style Council's singles always guaranteed a fantastic flipside. Indeed, even with the coming of the shiny CD, while others used the new fangled format to fob the public off with endless remixes of the same song, a solo Weller's heart was still in the land of vinyl, striving to give punters those little hidden gems to accompany title tracks. Advantages: A remarkable, perfectly produced live album
Disadvantages: It is a live album, and this is enough to put many buyers off!

After the surprising success of the start of his solo career, (and let's face it, we didn't think he would ever appear again after the break of The Style Council) he bought us strong albums with guitar in hand. In the shape of 'Paul Weller,' 'Wild Wood,' but it was only with the giant storm of a live album, simply titled, 'Live Wood,' in September 1994 that he had stumbled across something that other bands find incredibly hard to do, and that's release a pleasing live LP.
