**What Is It?** The Celtic Collection vol. 3 is Ceilidh music. A celidh, by the way, is a dance with only scottish dancing. This CD has 12 tradtional songs so it would be great if your where hosting a Ceilidh or if you just love dancing! This is a one disk CD written by various artists.
**Quality of Music?** It is great! It is very clear and you can hear the accordion espiecially well! There is no voice in this and only the main folk instruments accordion, fiddle and a little drums. It is very well recorded so you can put it as loud as you like or a softly as you like and you can still hear it clearly.
**Cover Quality** Very nice. Has a celtic not around the edge as a border then a view of the ocean. Think it is Loch lomond but not sure? Anyway very nice picture and the back with the traclist is clear. It does lack color however as it is green and yellow throughout.
**Tracklist** 1. Flying Scotsman 2. Highland Scottische 3. Dancing In Harris 4. Dancing On The Road 5. Set Of Jigs 6. Duke Of Perth 7. Gaelic Waltzes 8. Set Of Reels 9. Scottie Dance Band Heaven 10. Grand March 11. Shetland Celidh 12. West Highland Waltz
**Favourite Song?** Deafinately the Duke of Perth! It's so lively and has your toe tapping. I remeber dancing to this at a party and had so much fun as it is very fast! Really cheers me up.
**Where Can You Get It?** I got mine in Border books. You can buy it off alot of scottish music shops or even in scottish HMV. But i don't think it can be bought else where in Britain. So if you really would like it but are in the rest of Britain don't panic. Amazon is your best bet.
**Price?** £7.99 which Ciao says is the recommended price. So i got a fair price. I think that was a good price but if there was an extra 2 tracks then it would deafinately be a winner for me. You can get it used as well from amazon from less than a fiver so thats not bad.
**Whats Right With it?** Its traditonal, original and a toe-tapping album. It will have you dancing the highland fling in seconds. Great for weddings, ceildhs or just for a dance with the hubby! I love how it sounds really great on the speakers at full blast and it doesn't go crakily like alot of other CD's. This is the best in my opion against the competion out there.
**Whats Wrong With It?** We could have done with more tracks! Only 12 which is fine i suppose but 2/3 more would have been nice. It's not a very well publised CD so i might be prety hard to get but it is worth it. But don't be surprised if your shop doesn't have it.
**Conclusion** A great CD for scotish dance. Its bouncy, fun and will guaenteed to have you dancing. Sorry for everyone south of the border but if you like folk music you'll love this! Great CD

I first came across ceilidh dancing at my friends wedding in Scotland last year - it was such a blast!
The only irritation I have is the spelling of the word 'Ceilidh'!!
Anyway, well written review :o)

I'd never come across Ceilidh before this summer when I was in Mull, I didn't see any, only came across the term and had to get my Mum to explain it to me. Good review, not my sort of music though.
