Advantages: Absolute briallian solo playing Disadvantages: Some acompliment would sound nice with some of the tracks.
...Stuart liddell has to be one of the best pipers in the world today. Stuart plays with the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, which has won two world titles, he has performed with the band in concerts at the Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House, both of which have been placed on the CD. He is a phenomenal player and a great guy, and i had the pleasure of meeting him. The CD has won several awards in the piping scene as well as best "Solo Piping CD 2007" (Pipes and Drums Magazine).
Very little pipers in the world has the accuracy, and the musicality of Stuart, and this comes through brilliantly on 'Inveroran'."
A little break down of the tracks;
The Centenary Jewel - A nice set of 2/4 marches to break into the cd and to start to realize how good this man really is.
Inspector Donald Campbell Of Ness - A nice set of competition jigs...

Advantages: A sadly neglected Savoyard gem Disadvantages: You'll be hard pressed to find it
...The operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan are much loved and treasured musical gems from a bygone era. They remain as popular now as they ever were when written over a century ago - as can be seen by the clamour for tickets, the enthusiasm of audiences and the dedication of amateur societies in London, the provinces and around the world. Coming from the twilight years of the partnership “Utopia Limited” was performed in London in 1894. After that initial run it was confined to the archives. Indeed the sleeve notes to this CD album confirm that there had been no further professional performances of this opera until 1975 when the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company revived it for their Centenary Season at the Savoy Theatre.

...The Twice as Nice boys have done it again, residents for the sunday night event at the End have produced the latest compilation of live, mixed Uk garage and R'n'B. Cd one capture the essence of all that is good with the uk scene at present, some of the R'n B cuts are cool (such as Shola Ama's Imagine) as are mixes by the Artful Dodger of the Lynden David Hall tune. Coupled with this, Spoony has successfully put some decent heavy baseline stuff, such as track 2 -stand and deliver, a particular favourite of mine, and 'Celebrate Life'.
Cd 2 contains fairly mainstream R'n B cuts, skillfully put together for the listener by Sutherland. A good purchase....
