She started her career in minstrelsy & vaudeville , she went on to record The St Louis blues & was accompanied by Louis Armstrong on the cornet & Fred Longshaw on the harmonium. Ella And Louis - Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong
Review of Ella And Louis - Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong by Jakeibanez1234

Advantages: Amazing contrast of voices,
Disadvantages: Some sonic quality is lost due to the age of the recording

...This CD is a brilliant stepping-stone into the Jazz world. The instantly recognisable voice of Louis Armstrong is familiarly heart warming, Louis stood next to the sensational Ella, make a fine pair. The strong vocals are supported by the excellent band, with great instrumental links keeping the listener on the edge of their seat. The intensity and coarseness of Mr. Armstrong's voice compels the audience to wish for the next scat solo or the next parade of incredible human talent that is Louis. Of course the same can be said of the sassy Ms. Fitzgerald who can sustain these high levels of aptitude. I recommend this CD to any budding music fan who wishes to broaden their Musical horizons! Kings Of New York
Review of Come Find Yourself - Fun Lovin' Criminals by chrisc559

Advantages: Cool, unique
Disadvantages: Scooby Snacks becomes annoying after the millionth time

...This is a classic album that I have owned since it was released. It boasts classics like Scooby Snacks, King of New York and Bombin’ the L. This was the album that really bought them to the attention of the world after the success of Scooby Snacks. There is a good range of sounds that has been followed in the more mellow 3rd album ‘Mimosa’. One track to be noted is the Louis Armstrong cover of We Have All The Time In The World. The FLC's to it justice. The Fun Lovin' Criminals are completely unique to any other band and it shows in this album. If it did not win awards, then it should have done! This is an excellent addition to anyone’s collection and can be listened to again and again. ‘A timeless classic’! Go buy it! Track Listings 1. Fun Lovin' Criminal, The 2. Passive/Aggressive 3. Grave And The Constant, The 4. Scooby Snacks... Read review
