...'s no reason to find creative progression on a G-Unit release. The Game's album The Documentary may have bucked that trend for a short period, but basically all there is on G-Unit albums are bland braggadocio attempts, generic gangsta threats, and laughable attempts to appeal to the opposite sex through materialism. It's also obvious that 50, admitting that he believes that artistic credibility doesn't pay the bills, would mainly keep doing what makes him richer - the continuance of pushing out thoughtless material. Those can be the only reasons why several tracks on here have him reciting uncreative lyrics and reusing several themes that have been in commercial rap for eons now. A generic track reppin' the hood ("In My Hood"). Check. Another track addressing the various tired beefs between 50 and other folks filled with thug bravado (the laughably...

Advantages: Second album from the biggest up and coming rapper at the moment. Disadvantages: Not to everyone's tastes, very detailed descriptions of what is a horrifying past.
...As the second album of 50 cent, this is a real personal hit, for all the fans that want to know the real him! Get rich or die tryin' was a hit and miss attempt at rap stardom, and for 50, it worked, but it was about his riches and status, whereas the massacre shows a more personal side to 50 cent, the side that everyone know's is there, and just wants to see. I'm supposed to die tonight is a very graphic song in itself, telling the story of the death of his grandmother and his act of personal revenge against the people that did it. Disco Inferno on the other hand, is a much more upbeat tune, a bit of the original 50 that the die hard fan's will love. All round, this is a great album, showing the fan's every side of today's most popular rap artist....
