Advantages: Gripping from the start, interesting characters Disadvantages: Thought the ending may have been more explosive
...I recently had all my shifts changed at work which means that I ended up working 6 weeks of nights - ouch! Knowing that work was going to be quiet and therefore fairly boring, I asked my Dad to recommend me a couple of good books. The Chameleon's Shadow by Minette Walters was one of them.
The Author
Minette Walters is often referred to as the 'queen of the psychological thriller' and after reading several of her books, you will see that this is a title she deserves. The Chameleon's Shadow is her 12th psychological thriller. Some of her other books include Acid Row, Fox Evil, The Ice House, The Sculptress and The Dark Room. Some of her stories have been turned into films or TV series.

Watcher's in the Night is the first book in Jenna Black's Guardians of the Night series. Guardians of the Night is a paranormal romance series that focuses on vampires living in America. In the world that Black has created for this series a vampire is not automatically evil and can survive on animal blood but if a vampire does kill a human it runs the risk of becoming addicted to killing. Vampires who kill are stronger and faster than those who don't but there are a group of vampires who aren't killers who have united to become the Guardians of the Night. Together they protect humans from the predatory vampires.

...In Camera was the third of a series of four solo albums recorded by Peterin the period between Van Der Graaf Generator's demise in 1972 and their return in 1975, and is fairly typical of his solo output at the time. It is an innovative release in terms of how far he pushed the recording technology available at the time, the result of which is a diverse selection of songs on the album, making it at times a difficult but mostly rewarding listen.
Starting off with "Ferret And Featherbed" we are treated to some acoustic balladry type goings on with a tender arrangement and softly sung vocals and soft layered vocal harmonies, and was included by Peter as a "soft alternative to the other stuff"
