This is a true masterpiece from Brazilian Death/Thrash/Tribal metalers Sepultura. It incorporates vocals full of rage, heavy riffs, good little solos and incredible drumming! Forget Slipknot, this is "REAL" metal, and a band that consists of talented musicians!!
The album starts off with "Refuse/Resist", and a catchy drumming display from Igor Cavalera (vocalist Max Cavalera's brother). We are then subjected to some nice heavy riffing from guitarists Max Cavalera (vocals and rhythm guitar) and Andreas Kisser (Lead Guitarist). Max then sets in with his trademark "ROARING"!
"CHAOS A.D. TANKS ON THE STREETS CONFRONTING POLICE BLEEDING THE PHLEBS RAGING CROWD BURNING CARS BLOODSHED STARTS WHO'D BE ALIVE"?
The lyrics are very good, the titles do give you a good idea about what the song is about. This album grows hugely on you and there is not really a bad song on it!
I'd recommend this to anyone who likes good metal; trendy nu-metaler slipknot worshippers stay away, you are NOT wanted here!!
