John Steinbeck-
Travels with Charley: In Search of America
1962, 246pp
This book is, as the title suggests, an autobiographical narrative of Steinbeck?s trek from his hometown of New York around the United States, with his companion, Charley. Charley is a poodle, (in fact, a blue poodle), who understands English, although his mother tongue is French, (naturally).

David Jordan is only 23 and surprisingly (for his depth of musical style) is British, though born of Indian and West Indian parents. This is his debut album and is produced by Trevor Horn, more of a name in the 80's than now, he was regarded then a bit Like Mark Ronson is now, which is a coincidence as apparently (having read up on this like the geek I am), Amy Winehouse and David Jordan are big buddies, so I would not be surprised if Ronson features in this young mans career before too long.
Anyway, I digress, the music. It is a quite weird album in many ways as it does not settle in one particular genre, as I review the tracks you will see what I ...
