Charlie's Angels II - Full Throttle - Original Soundtrack

I had only seen the film once and bought this CD on the offchance that it was good. Have to admit - I was really impressed. It's one of those soundtracks where you can place most of the songs in the fim; as opposed to listening and thinking 'that was in the film?'

The soundtrack kicks off with Pink and William Orbit's mix of 'Feel Good Time' - it's upbeat and racey, and totally fits it s role in the film; used during the dirt-bike ...
...Alright (For Fighting)' and the remix of David Bowie's original 'Rebel Rebel' are upbeat and good songs in their own right - there's a good deal of quite rocky/indie tracks on this album.

The next two songs are classics: Electric Six is pretty much famous for 'Danger! High Voltage' - it's racey and was very modern at the time of the film's release. Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On A Prayer' will never get old - perhaps the ultimate rock anthem? ... more

The next few songs - Nickleback's 'Saturday Night' Alright (For Fighting)' and the remix of David Bowie's original 'Rebel Rebel' are upbeat and good songs in their own right - there's a good deal of quite rocky/indie tracks on this album.

Journey's 'Any Way You Want It' and Loverboy's 'Working For The Weekend' have a similar makeup - both very upbeat and rocky, they absolutely fit this film - also great songs in their own right. 'Surfer Girl' by the Beach Boys didn't really do much for me - but maybe that's becasue I'm not a big Beach Boys fan - however it does have that certain summer quality to it. 'Nas' Angels...the Flyest' is definitely an interesting track - it does however fit the movie pretty well - it's R&B with an almost Bollywood feel to it - pretty summer-esque.

Easily my two favourite tracks on this album are MC Hammer's 'U Can't Touch This' and Edwyn Collins' 'A Girl Like You' - they are stunning, and you can't help but dance. 'I Just Wanna Be Your Everything' has a great Bee Gees feel to it, whilst 'This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)' has an almost Diana Ross quality - it has a feel-good rhythm and great vocals. 'Last Dance' is the last track on the CD and hence has that slow-dance feel - it's alright if you like that kinda thing.

All in all an excellent CD - it is worth getting it for the pure range of songs on there - it has something for everyone!
