Advantages: Excellent exploration of different relationships Disadvantages: None, but was daunting to start reading such a long book.

Paddy De Courcy was a charmer; he aimed to please. A fifty-something politician, with an eye for the ladies, and knowing that he could have any woman he wanted as he had a certain charisma. He wasn?t attractive, and was rather a bulky man, but nevertheless, once his sight was set on something or someone, he would single-mindedly aim to attain it.

Advantages: It's gorgeous, it'a alcoholic, it's a sweet, luxurious liqueur.. Disadvantages: Too expensive!
This has got to be my favourite drink in the world. And to use an American expression that I think rather fitting....Period. It's fantastic, I could rave on about it using all sorts of adjectives. but that's not going to get me a high rating, nor particularly inform you guys. :P
As described on the rather lovely packaging, this drink is 'uniquely dark and intriguing' and I've got to agree. Tia Maria is a dark rum and while it looks like it could be quite dry, it's got a deliciously sweet coffee/vanilla taste to it that is so moreish. Pour it into a glass and you'll see a thick, dark coloured, wonderful-smelling liquid come out. Put the glass to your lips and inhale the vanilla/coffee smell. Sip it slowly and taste the luxurious pleasure that is Tia Maria. I can't describe the taste, I wouldn't do it justice.
It's26.5% volume ...

This Charming Man is based on four very different women, all living in Ireland and whose lives have been changed dramatically by one very charming man, Paddy de Courcy. Paddy is a politician and thinks of himself as a bit of a cad who can get any woman he wants. But Lola, Marnie, and Grace know the truth about Paddy. That he isn't as nice as his public persona leads people to believe, that he hasn't any respect for women, and most importantly, they're all united by a secret which just might come back ...
