Advantages: Diverse, musically accomplished EP Disadvantages: ?
...Released from Radiohead's second Album, "The Bends", "My IronLung" is an example of everything that is good about them. As an EP the record is of exceptional quality, all the tracks are awesome with no fillers.
1)My IronLung - Taken from the Album, this an exceptionally well-crafted track with raw guitars and hypnotic sound blended with haunting lyrics. As Thom sings "Faith/You're driving me away/You do it every day/You don't mean to but it hurts like hell" it is clear that Radiohead are on their jaw-dropping top form.
2)The Trickster - A faster paced track, with catchy guitar riffs combined with Yorke's emotive voice perfectly capturing a sense of yearning and sorrow.
3)Lewis (mistreated) - A lighter track, with more attitude, pucnhy vocals and fast guitars Highlights include Yorke summing up a combination of pity...

Advantages: A wonderful mixture of songs, classic Radiohead! Disadvantages: If you don't buy it, you're disadvantaged!
...Every once in a while, a band comes along whose talent makes even the talented envious. I believe Radiohead is one of them. If "The Bends," and particularly "OK computer" are deemed as works of art, then this is undeniably the coming of age of the said artists.
The LP starts with "My IronLung" itself which typically has a good blend of gentle guitar riffs effortlessly morphing into dirty rock seemingly at will. "Lewis" for example sees Thom in Angst mode and the lazy vocals that seem to insinuate that he couldn't give a sh*t about anything in the world. "You never wash up after yourself" is a nice enough tune but I think it's probably a little...

Advantages: 8 tracks of Radiohead bliss! Disadvantages: Your joking right? :)
...My IronLung, taken from Radiohead’s second album The Bends was originally released as two CD singles and then later as a Mini-Album, combining the title track with the 6 b-sides plus a bonus track – an acoustic version of Creep. In total this gives you 8 songs of Radiohead genius.
My IronLung starts with an edgy, almost haunting guitar part picked out by guitarist Jonny Greenwood which later turns into a guitar frenzy drenched in angst. Lead singer Thom Yorke is on top form with his lyrics as he sings “We're too young to fall asleep, too cynical to speak/We are losing it cant you tell?” This is just a taster of what is a classic RH track and a firm favourite with the fans.
Its got to be said that many of Radiohead’s B-side tracks are often as strong as the title track itself and this release is no exception. My IronLung is home...
